Ideally, we’d like to find someone who already knows JS backwards, but we’re open to anyone with raw talent. Our project isn’t a standard web-app – we’re exploring options such as the Google Closure, which makes JS almost an OO language. So if you’re a strong developer interested in a challenge, please get in touch.
This really is a completely unique opportunity. First, we’re going to be going deep into the most modern JS tools – Closure, node.js and others. Second, we’ve got a great team – managed and led by developers, with a sensible budget and timescale. Third, we’re working on a commercially focussed research project which just might be really, really big.
Most developers think JS is a brain-dead scripting language, not a real programmer’s tool. The truth is more complex: JS has many design faults, but it is powerful and – on recent browsers – fast. To read more about why we think JS is the right platform, visit http://www.bbconsult.co.uk/whyjs.aspx
