The team within Medalytix delivered the world’s first automated screening tool for diabetic eye disease and this is now being deployed within the NHS in Scotland. That product has now been licensed and the team are currently spinning out IPR into a start-up and are currently fund raising.
The new company is developing a non-invasive, automated screening tool for cardiovascular disease risk (iGradingCVD) and are boot-strapping the development to maintain the commercial momentum made to date. iGradingCVD combines automated assessment of retinal images for signs of microaneurysms with a novel risk prediction engine which uses simple non-invasive parameters to predict risk of cardiovascular disease, coronary heart disease and stroke.
Medalytix requires an internet presence and initial marketing materials. The team are currently negotiating with the original investors over the right to use the Medalytix name and brand in the start-up, but this is not yet secured. Therefore a new brand position and name are required.
The current Medalytix website is dated and marketing materials are virtually non-existent. The team would value the input of someone with an interest in digital marketing who will be able to work with the CEO to:
• develop a brand position
• set the path for a new digital marketing strategy
• create a web-presence
This is an ideal opportunity to:
• demonstrate creative ability
• demonstrate an aptitude for delivery of commercially applicable solutions
• potentially create your own job
This is an expereince-only internship. The student will have direct contact with the founders of the business and will be expected to work from home. Contacts: Joanne Phoenix, CEO 07796 927 209 Andrew Preston Technical Director 07766 656 513
