Crane.tv is looking for two enthusiastic and creative Photographers to join their fast growing London team.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside the editorial and production teams and will be given responsibility for documenting shoots and Crane.tv events with high quality photographs. The new Crane.tv website (currently under construction) will showcase an increasing amount of photographic content.
The successful photography interns must be able to work with very little direction on shoots and have the initiative to quickly evaluate lighting, angles and what will create the best possible pictures according to the Crane.tv style on a shoot.
Shoots will require you to take stills of the subjects of our films as well as the environment that they are in (e.g. interiors, local area, mood shots etc). Subjects could be both people (e.g. artists, designers, architects, writers, musicians) and places (e.g. bars, galleries, restaurants).
As shoots and events are ad hoc, you must be flexible with your time and sometimes be available at short notice. This is an excellent opportunity for a photography student/graduate to gain invaluable media industry experience and expand their portfolio.
The role will be based out of our London office but the majority of work will be off-- site so ideally the successful interns will be London based.
- The ideal candidate will have: A degree in photography/photo-journalism (current students are welcome to apply as long as you can commit time-wise). If you don’t have a photography degree but do have a strong portfolio we are willing to consider your application
- but make sure you send us your portfolio details. Expertise with a reflex digital camera. A firm grasp of Photoshop. An in-depth knowledge of using a speedlite flash. Creative confidence. The ability to capture great images on an impromptu basis; we expect our candidates to be able to shoot great content without having to set up all the images. The understanding of the role that photography plays in social media.
