We are looking for a Business Development intern to take part in our newly launched social enterprise.

Community upon Thames is a website-based, people driven not-for-profit business that is running exciting projects in the London Boroughs of Richmond and Kingston upon Thames.

We publish local news, interviews, opinions etc on our online newspaper.

We have launched a local social network called 'The Community' that allows local people to communicate, connect and also trade their skills using our unique online local currency.

We run an online shop selling goods from local small businesses.

We find employment for local people, especially those most excluded through disability or disadvantage.

We have an extensive marketing strategy, that stretches from advertising to corporate membership.

The Business Development Intern would primarily take part in the marketing and sales of the business, but would have the freedom to explore any of our activities.

We are a start-up social enterprise and therefore are looking for someone with the imagination and drive to also take part in the direction of our business.

We are very flexible on hours and can offer both part and full-time work. We have a spacious office and can offer some expenses paid. We can also be flexible on our start date.
