To work as part of the business development team to develop company's solutions for detection on Market Abuse and Fraud in financial institutions inlcuding Investment banks and Brokers.
This may involve working in the research and development team on developing real-time analytics or working with the product management team in defining and capturing new product requirements, documenting them, helping drive the product roadmap, defining acceptance criteria, liaising with the product development team and customers.
The role would involve learning about and assessing how a variety of trading techniques can be applied to gain an illegitimate advantage in fragmented highly automated trading environments and then applying this knowledge to work ot how to detect this Abuse.
Market Abuse and Fraud in the financial markets has been a highly topical area since the flash crash, with regulators both issuing more detailed regulation designed to prevent market abuse and being more pro-active about seeking out and fining offenders.
It will involve working directly for our senior management team, who that have been at the forefront of automated trading and associated technologies in some of the world largest financial institutions.
This is initially intended to be a summer job for a graduate or post graduate with strong financial engineering, quantitative and or IT skills, with an active interest in the financial markets.
A successful candidate will be ideally positioned to apply for one of the more permanent roles in Product Development as ideally we will be looking to make at least 2 full time hires from the summer interns we take on.
