Enternship: Marketing & Communications Enternship with Community Money CIC

Date added: Saturday, 5th July

Community Money CIC is a non-profit UK micro finance company focused on addressing London poverty – where 2 in 5 families live below the poverty line.

We provide money and debt advice and promote the non-profit weekly £1 Community Lottery – the proceeds of which fund the micro grant fund for community groups, which has just launched, and the micro loan fund for individuals and small businesses, launching later this year.

Are you a future marketing or communications star, creative, outgoing and focused, seeking to make a big impact, and like the idea of working with an entrepreneurial social enterprise start up which is dedicated to providing ethical finance?

Are you not fazed by working on a shoestring budget, think you can deliver real value, like the idea of taking ownership of a project from start to finish, and work well with minimal supervision?

Help us do one of two things or both:
• Develop and deliver an effective PR campaign aimed at London’s local media to highlight the issue of London based poverty
• Increase the number of sign ups to the lottery through imaginative use of (guerrilla) marketing tools: promotions, stunts, viral marketing etc.

Other tasks might involve: website updates; design and delivery of promotional material; administration relating to PR and marketing.

Are you available at short notice, willing to commit to at least 2 days a week, for a minimum of 2 months, all expenses paid, working at The Hub, London’s premier social enterprise incubation space, minutes from Angel tube, and if interested, partly from home, ready to gain some real experience and build your network of professional contacts?

Please send your CV and covering letter to puck.markham@communitymoney.co.uk stating why you think you can help us and your availability.
