Studious Enterprises was set up 4 months ago as the UK’s first website that helps students make money. We are essentially a market research company since students make money by registering with our site (www.studiousenterprises.com) and signing up people they know to do research. As a consequence, Studious Enterprises has its feet in quite a few sectors – marketing, advertising and IT. We are looking for an Intern (Entern) who is specifically interested in a career in marketing, advertising or branding and is interested in working with us to develop our 2 main strategies…

1. Positioning ourselves as a unique and dynamic online market research company so that advertisers and other market-research buyers accurately grasp what we do and why we offer competitive advantage in a fairly stagnant industry.

2. Developing a direct marketing strategy which gets our name and our site into campuses up and down the country.

The ideal candidate would be someone interested in ending up in advertising and with a keen entrepreneurial spirit since we are rolling out new idea and products every week and we’re looking for people to help contribute rather than just photocopy stuff.

The job would not be at our London offices since a lot of the work can be done remotely but we would aim to work with our Entern in person at least once a week at our strategy meetings so a candidate living in or near London is more suitable.

What we feel we can offer our Entern is the chance to have a genuinely hands-on experience if the world of advertising/marketing and also see how internet start-ups run in their first year. Our Entern would be considered just as crucial a voice in our planning meetings as our two directors in terms of thinking about future products and we would our Entern would be welcome to as many of our meetings with clients and advertising companies as he/she wishes to attend. This would be great experience for anyone looking to end up in this sector.

Most valuable remuneration will take the form exposure to high-level client meetings and opportunity to help shape a growing business. Bonus scheme for cash remuneration negotiable with the right candidate

Duration: This Summer, for around 2 months, although not strictly full-time.
