Financial modeling guru at CleanStar Ventures

We are looking for a financial modeling guru with socio-entrepreneurial tendencies to help redesign, improve and build upon our project models and scenario analyses. Our group is focused on the transformation of remote rural communities in Asia, Africa and Latin America into valued suppliers in global energy and environmental markets, through the use of sustainable biofuel forestry. We operate through both corporate and non-profit structures, for a variety of reasons. We have existing operations in India, and are currently developing commercial-scale projects in Brazil, Benin, Mozambique, China and Australia. We actively utilize our non-negotiable founding principles to ensure that our projects achieve their blended value potential. Immediate tasks to be undertaken include: 1 Ripping apart and challenging our suite of excel-based project models and scenario analyses 2 Putting them back together in a more functional manner 3 Dreaming up and developing a new range of models and scenario analyses tools to deal with increasing complexity of project types, locations and funding sources This role would suit someone who was priming themselves for entry into investment banking, but is now reconsidering their goals in life. Successful interns who share our values and focus, and are prepared to invest their time and energy with us, will be given the opportunity to design a permanent role for themselves in our organization.
