The Role
You know that an Option is not just a hot chocolate drink?
You're aware that a Swap is not just something you do in the playground?
You're absolutely sure that a Future is not just something that keeps you awake in bed at night?
Well sounds good so far. We're a startup based in East London who provides software to hedge funds and other traditional fund managers. We're looking for a financial / economics graduate to work with our cool software.
You'll be reading quite a bit of legal texts and converting what you read intro rules for our rules engine. You'll need to test that the rules are working too by providing sample input and expected output.
Required Skills
First and foremost you have to have a sound understanding of financial instruments (Equities, Swaps, Options, Futures, CFDs)
Secondly, you're going to be using a lot of Excel, but you love Excel - right?
Communications skills are vital too as you will have to explain to our developers why something isn't working as you expect.
Flexibility is important too, sometimes we have to work late to get things done, but you can compensate the next day and have a bit of a lie in.
If you've a bit of a programming background as well, then you'd be ideal.
