SHUSTIR.COM ENTREPRENEURS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM Description Shustir.com is proud to announce its Entrepreneurs Internship Program for New York area graduate and undergraduates. The Program offers potential candidates an opportunity to join a high-growth, internet start-up and receive hands-on experience in building a thriving online marketplace for small business. Since our launch in May 2009, Shustir.com has grown into a social network of over 19,000 small businesses and the consumers who support them. We provide small businesses with virtual storefronts to sell their goods and services, improve visibility in search engines, and find and engage customers. By March 2011, we will be re-launching an enhanced site with more streamlined functionality. The internship will allow candidates to work with founders and the Director of Sales & Marketing in building and implementing a sales and marketing campaign that not only sustains the site, but also engages Shustir’s growing member base. Primary Responsibility • Assist Director of Sales with member sales/outreach and corporate sponsorship • Establish strong client/member relations with members by location/industry vertical • Assist in the re-launch efforts, including public relations and site testing • Coordinate ad placements via OpenX servers • Manage social media properties including daily monitoring, posting, and content development Potential Candidate We are looking for candidates that have passion for small businesses and entrepreneurship. Candidates must have the drive and energy needed to build a business. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and is a self-starter who is patient, yet persistent. No prior sales/marketing experience necessary. Compensation Paid Internship.
