SPONSORSHIP COORDINATOR: JOB DESCRIPTION Primary responsibilities: The sponsorship coordinator works directly with the Cappy’s Boxing Club staff and its members and in coordination with the CENTRAL DISTRICT BOXING REVIVAL Event Coordinator and is directly responsible for private cash and in-kind donations for the CENTRAL DISTRICT BOXING REVIVAL. They will oversee management of all sponsor relations, fulfillment of agreements, as well as recruitment and management of all sponsorship volunteer staff. Duties: • Identify CENTRAL DISTRICT BOXING REVIVAL budgetary needs and sponsorship goals • Develop sponsorship outreach plan designed to meet the Event’s sponsorship goals and for both cash and in-kind sponsorship to fulfill all identified needs. • Recruit and manage sponsorship volunteer staff. • Maintain sponsor database and ensure that all sponsors are tracked and recognized appropriately within the parameters of sponsorship agreement. • Oversee development and delivery of sponsorship content for Event Web site, program and all other sponsor related materials as needed. • Ensure that all sponsors receive appropriate benefits and recognition as outlined in agreement. • Oversee development and production of sponsorship packets and other marketing materials, ensuring their availability to sponsorship volunteers. • Work with Event Coordinator and other Cappy’s Boxing Club staff to ensure that all sponsor deals are consistent with overall vision for the event. • Oversee wrap email and thank you letter delivery to all sponsors post-Event. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED: • Exceptional communication and management skills. • Ability to deal with rapidly shifting priorities. • Outgoing, team player with strong interpersonal skills. • Capacity to articulate vision and role of the Central District Boxing Revival to a variety of individuals including volunteer staff and potential sponsors. • Impeccable organization with ability to manage projects, information and staff in order to achieve significant results. • Excellent grammatical and proofreading skills; strong general office skills including but not limited to basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (or similar programs), Adobe Acrobat as well as access to the internet and email. HOURS & COMPENSATION: Hours should average 2-5 hours weekly, depending on experience and may increase to 5-7hour per week for the month preceding the event. This internship is not paid, but does involve a commission based stipend. The stipend will be 25% of gross donation income (25% of donations received after the cost of the event).
