About Enternships™

Our Mission

Enternships™ provides ambitious and dynamic students with an opportunity to learn about business and enterprise through internships in entrepreneurial and innovative environments, from start-ups to global venture funds.

It is in line with Gordon Brown's drive to promote enterprise (the Chancellor speaking last year):

"We know how much stronger our economy and our society will be if we see released all the dynamism and creativity of all our people. Our goal is to inspire young people to believe in their own entrepreneurial potential and make their mark and later this year we will hold Britain 's first national enterprise week to encourage young people to use their ingenuity and talent in business."

Enternships™ fosters that belief by allowing students to experience business and enterprise first-hand in a dynamic and fast-learning environment.

The scheme is run in association with Oxford Entrepreneurs, a student-run society which encourages and supports student entrepreneurship in Oxford and beyond. Oxford Entrepreneurs has been described by the DTI as one of the top 3 organisations in the UK for promoting innovation and enterprise. The scheme also works with other entrepreneurial organisations and start-up centres such as Oxford Innovation and ISIS Innovation, as well as the Said Business School .
